Another day of nothing special yesterday.

My buddy Gil dropped his car off here so I could go to his house and wait for a package being delivered.

We might get together Friday afternoon or evening. It was nice to see him.

Here's something different I forgot to report.

Last Friday Ginny and I are driving down westbound 6th Ave.

6th Ave is 3 lane highway south of Denver. When we approached the Wadsworth exit we notice tons of traffic on the eastbound lanes. Police cars, the whole bit.

As we got near the Wadsworth exit we see a man almost get hit by the car right in front of us, the guy is standing in the middle of the exit lane to Wadsworth. We're thinking, "The guy must know someone in the accident and wanted to cross the highway."

Nope...after passing him I look in the rearview mirror and see an officer chase him down on foot. So apparently it was a highspeed chase that went sideways. Now that we saw that we pieced together that the guy that got almost runover was the perp in the chase, and he was trying to commendeer the car that almost ran him down. Luckily, the lady driving the car realized all this and didn't stop.

The whole helpless expression on his face as we passed him by and looked at each other wasn't concern for a motorist on eastbound 6th, it was desperation for escape.

Well, he got his free ride after all I guess. Just not to the place he wanted to end up.
