As we all prepare for war, (I bought my 5 rolls of duct tape, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 package of plastic wrap and 2 glasses of water today...pfff), I realized today that it's an inevitible thing. I heard Saddam wanted to have a live debate against Bush via satellite. Maybe they can have that as the undercard to the next Tonya Harding PPV. At this point, I think they should just, y'know, put Bush and Saddam in a room, close the door and... hell, whoever wins, just leave them in there, forever.
In this writer's opinion, there's the UN resolution, it's Bush against Hussein, not America vs. Iraq. Let them settle the squabble personally.
I'm tired of hearing about war, seeing "THE WAR ON IRAQ" title bars on every local news network, seeing Tom Ridge, by the way, anyone seen Dick Cheney lately? What the hell happened to THAT guy?
There's a politician here that said about all the anti-war protests, "It's a discredit to all the men and women who are overseas prepared to fight, all the soldiers that are putting their lives on the line." What a crock of shit. The REAL discredit is that they're over there in the first place. I think the people opposed to war aren't discrediting the soldiers there, they want them HOME! NOW!
Let's prepare for peace before we build-up for war.
I'm probably being a bleeding heart libeal. It's ok though, cos I'm left handed. meh.
Who knows, not I.
