THE update.

Ok. I'm slacking a little bit on the guestbook design...but I'll get there.

Lots of news to catch up on.

First thing is the holidays were awesome. Ginger's kids came up for Christmas and New Years. I was rightfully nervous as this is the first time we've had a chance to meet. They are awesome! Great, wonderful, beautiful kids. I was also nervous about how they would get along with Dimitri. They took to each other like brothers and sisters right away.

We got to show them a lot of Colorado. We went to Red Rocks, Silverthorne, a Colorado Mammoth (LaX) game (Avsie! We have season tix! You have to visit now!!), Estes Park, Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park, we went sledding, it was 10 days of being the family we have all been longing and waiting to be. It was one huge burden off out shoulders. Hopefully, if they want, they will both decide to move up here with us. I'm looking forward and hoping for it.

That is my major news...

Lesser news is, I finally got back into the industry I was laid off from 3+ years ago. It's been a long hard fight, a long road back. It took so long for me to update because see I was waiting to make sure I got this job. I started on Monday, I didn't want to jinx it by writing it here and then it falling through. It's not a permanent position, it's a contract position, but one that should last the balance of the year with a good chance of being permanent in the future. Either way I'm in a great position because this job I have teaches me just about every aspect of the company. It's by far the most diverse position I've had in this industry, which hopefully will make me a hell of a lot more marketable down the road.

For the longest time we've been struggling out here. We hit the bottom of the barrel about 2 1/2 years ago and have been slowly climbing our way out. Fimally I feel like I'm close to the light at the end of the tunnel. This is the best I've felt in a long time. The most secure I've felt in a long time.

I finally sleep easy at night.
